Bridge Exchange

87-year-old Rodney Walker wants to teach bridge, or rekindle past players' knowledge, to the aging population. Rodney is a firm believer that learning bridge is a fine way to fight off the debilitating onslaught of Alzheimer's, as our population ages beyond anything we have experienced in by-gone eras. Rodney has been teaching, for free, at the retirement area where he lives in Clearwater, Florida. His plan is to teach a group of avid learners and then push the ones with the appropriate potential over to club games. Rodney calls this the Bridge Exchange.

Other card games to try

There are several other card games and probably just as many rules. People playing bridge usually are intrigued by the skill factor and strategy theories of different poker games. Other popular examples are Canasta and Rummy.
