How to play mini bridge
Bidding
1. Dealer calls first and the calls proceed in clockwise direction.
2. Each player announces the number of high card points in their hand (A=4, K=3, Q=2, J=1).
3. The side with the most points will play the contract (redeal if 20/20)
Contract
1. The person with the most points in the winning partnership becomes declarer (if points are equal then the first to call is declarer).
2. Dummy is now exposed.
3. Declarer names the contact (level plus trumps or no trumps).
Play
1. Player on declarer's left makes opening lead.
2. Play proceeds in clockwise direction.
3. Winner of a trick leads to the next trick.
Scoring
1. If the contract is successful the score is the sum of trick score plus bonus.
Trick score = Tricks over 6 times suit value
♣ ♦ = 20 each
♥ ♠ = 30 each
NT = 40 for first then 30 each
Bonus
If contract trick score is 100 or more then the bonus is 300. Otehrwise the bonus is 50
2. If the contract is unsuccessful defenders score 50 for each trick shortfall.
